I bout a used 2005 sport and had after market leather out in. I have begun to notice that my drivers seat seems to lean or tilt slightly to the left. I probably wouldnt have noticed it except for having some low back issues. Almost like sitting on a big wallet. I doubt the place that did the leather pulled the padding out...not sure ho that works, so I'm assuming it is flatter on the outside from the previous owner getting in and out. I'm just wondering about getting that seat portion of the padding replaced. Anyone had that done? Wish I had found the issue before the leather was installed.

you can buy a new foam seat cushion from Toyota. I just bought one last week to replace the driver's seat when I did the katzkin leather install. The 4runner we purchased had a worn out seat cushion, especially the bolster. I suspected that the previous owner was probably a heavy person, and some facebook snooping confirmed my suspicions. The previous owner was a woman that probably weighed 200+ lbs so her sliding in and out of the seat destroyed the bolster.
The toyota part number is 71511-35110. My buddy works in the parts department at a local dealer so he got his dealer discount through Toyota and paid $158 w/ tax. Regular price is around $185 IIRC.

I had katzkins put on too. Is it possible to pull the leather off and replace the seat cushion now. How difficult is it if so?

yeah absolutely.
-Remove the seat by loosening the 4 14mm bolts.
-Unplug the harness
-Remove the seat from the vehicle
-pop the electric seat control knobs off
-Flip up the flap on the back of the seat and you'll see 2 phillips screws to remove that hold the plastic on. There are some elastic bands that hold it to the seat frame.
-There are two phillips screws under the front of the cushion securing the plastic trim on. Remove those.
-Remove the seat belt buckle w/ a 14mm socket. and the accompanying plastic trim.
-You'll see how the leather is snapped into place under the seat, remove that.
-Cut the hog rings securing the leather to the foam.
-remove the hog rings securing the leather to the seat from underneath the back of the cushion.
-You can use zip ties in place of the hog rings for reassembly if you want. otherwise you'll need hog ring pliers and hog rings. For zip ties, just cut a little slit in the fabric of the listings (plastic rods). then secure that to the rods in the cushion.
-Once the leather cover is completely removed, the foam should just pull right off of the seat frame.
-Installation is the reverse of removal.
Should take a NooB 2-3 hours tops.
Tip: to get the leather to seat back in the groove on the front of the seat, it's easier to sit on the cushion to compress the foam to give you a little more slack to twist it back into place.
You sound like you've done a few of them. Since you have to pull the seat out, is there any possibility they didn't put things back right which caused it to lean a little? If not replacing the cushion, it Should stay in place, right? I'm guessing it was that way before but I didn't notice it before I had the leather done.

Yeah I've done katzkin in 3 toyotas now.
It's possible, however it would be really hard to attach the leather properly if the cushion isn't fully seated. The leather attaches to the metal seat frame so it will keep the cushion in place.

The part number listed here stated that it's for non SRS. My 2003 Limited has the side impact air bags. Couldn't find the part number. Anybody know it
