Replacing Windshield Wiper

Hey Guys,

I think it's time for me to replace my windshield wipers since the rubber has become ripped and no longer wipes half my windshield. I think I've procrastinated long enough.

My question is, how is it done? How much are they, and what brand should I get? I need to replace both of them. If anyone has a good website I should buy them from, let me know.

I just replaced mine today. I got the whole unit cheaper than just replacement blades. I wouldn't get them online and pay shipping when they're only $5/ea at your local parts store. Piece of cake to install.

I just replaced mine a week ago. I went ahead and the the expensive ones with the teflon coating, because they last longer. Wipers are super easy to install, takes maybe 5 minutes. My local part store did not have the rear wiper in their computer. Does any one know a part number for the rear wiper?

Depending on how close your part store is, I would just go buy them there, the cheapest ones are less than $10.

Wiper Replacement

This is the only Wiper I would consider getting. I'm real fussy about my windshield being clean for obvious safety reasons on those Oily goopy rainy days in freeway kaos. These will keep you safe and despite the cost, I think they are worth it.

I just replaced mine, too. Went into Autozone and got some Anaco (however it's spelled) for $6 per side. Works well, it was cheap, piece of cake install (20 seconds per side).

Wiper Blades

They will be smearing in a month. You will see when you get one of those goopy days with oil from the road hitting your windshield. The silicones don't let that happen.

No need to search. Been using these same brand blades for years with no smearing (that's what wiper fluid is for...). I only need to replace them every 12-24 months. I'm sure your silicone coated blades are better, but not worth the extra cash for me.

Yeah I am sure the more expensive blades owrk better and last longer but witht he price of gas and my mileage I'd prefer not to spend $40.00 on windshield wipers. I used to use Aamco i think it is and they worked fine. I recently got a set of cheapies ($3 something) and they have lasted about a year and are just now smearing.

I just picked up a set of Toyota refills for my 06 from the dealer and they were only 4 bucks a piece. I've tried a few different brands for the 4Runner but these seem to work the best.

Yah, I'm currently broke. So I'm definately going to Kragens tommorow and buying the cheapest pair I can find.

Do you know how many inches our blades are? When I went to check it out the other day, it just went by inches and I just want to make sure I get the right ones.
