REQ: OBD2 reader reccomendations and info

I am looking for an OBD2 reader and there are tons to choose from in the $25> category on Amazon. Bluetooth enabled, wired with display, etc. I am looking for recommendations and experience- thanks.
Also, I do have a bluetooth enabled Android phone and Win7 laptop FWIW.

Torque Pro is an android app that's like $5 or something and you can find bluetooth readers on amazon for something like $30. It's the best route to go for the most info for the buck.

The torque app is pretty amazing - it'll give you any information your ECU has a sensor for from transmission temps to fuel pump deliver rate to AF ratios... etc etc. I have it and love it.

Yep, spend the $30 or so to buy a bluetooth dongle and download Torque Pro. That app is seriously good.

MaxiScan posted above does the job pretty well.

I bought UltraGauge for my 1996 to improve my fuel efficiency driving style - and it has a nice feature or being able to read codes (also shows pending ones) and clear them if there are any.

I am def going to get a bluetooth reader and app. I would love to have access to all that info and real time data!

I am not wanting to spend more than i need to and am wondering if there is any big disadvantage to getting a cheap reader like this:

Get the one sold by a company called BAFX. I got mine from there based on the positive reviews. It's working great after a year.

I threw down the $99 for the Kiwi one and it's worked great for over a year. I have heard good things about the cheaper ones too, I just didn't want to deal with the gamble of a chinese-built one possibly being DOA or shortly thereafter.

Im currently running a scangauge (love it). But would like to add bluetooth/iphone app concurrently. Anybody had luck using a splitter and running 2 devices at once?

I got the ODB2 transmitter yesterday- works great- glad it goes in the interior and not the engine bay was worried about that with heat. App offers a lot of info and I added knock plugin and the scan plugin.

I still have to research the results but am super stoked! Thanks! (screenshots attached)

I will report back with what I find out.

ODB2 reader and app have been working great- and lo and behold I look down tonight after a long hike and the CEL is out! Maybe it was those couple of tanks of 87 I put in recently to save money. I went back to premium as soon as the CEL came on. Strange.

Is there an iPhone equivalent? I searched "Torque Pro" in iTunes and came up with "Engine Link".

I'm not sure, but you could do a google search for "iphone torque pro" and see what comes up.

I know that there is one app for iPhones called Rev that is very similar to Torque Pro. Only downside is that it is more expensive and you need to (if I'm not mistaken) use a wifi adapter if your iPhone isn't jailbroken since Apple has some type of block for Bluetooth adapters by default. I'm not 100% on this though, so I would research this on google.

fuel pump delivery ratios?, am trying to determine if my fuel pump is getting weak, as i have a persistent p0174 code, i have torque pro, but only fuel info am seeing is 1.5l/hr, is that what you mean.

2ndly loooking for a bluetooth app that can read abs/airbag codes, someone mentioned obd fusion, but i have trouble connecting my phone to it
