Reset ECU??

I unplugged the ABS sensor when having my Cornfed lift installed, (:D ), and now my VSC OFF, VSC TRAC, and ABS lights are glowing like a Christmas tree. I reconnected the harness, but I'd rather not go to the stealer to have them reset the ECU. Can I do this by unplugging the battery or some other method?

disconnecting the battery will not help. It probably stored a DTC (trouble code). Lets assume the cables are OK, you need to clear the trouble code with a handheld tester.

If you do not have one of those there is a backdoor.

Connect the pins 4 and 13 (Tc and CG)m on the DLC3 (OBDII)connector. The connector is located under the little fusebox inside the cabin, just above the ebrake pedal. Once connected turn on the ignition and depress the brake pedal 8 or more times in under 5 seconds. The warning lights should go off.

Locating pin 4 and 13 is more interesting. Teh connector has a fat side and a thin side. When looking at the connector with the fat side at the bottom. Pin 1 is then the lowest row closest to right hand side. Pin2 is then the one next to it on the left hand side and so on till pin 8 , which is the left most on the bottom. Pin 9 is then the right most on the top and then count towards the left again. Pin 16 is the left most on the top then. Remember this is with the fat part atthe bottom looking at it.

If you feel uncomfortable doing this rather take it to the dealer.

Oh thats good, it obviously did not store a DTC then. Saves you the time and trouble of clearing it then. It will not clear if it was a DTC, but seems like you got lucky.

Now reset your windows and moonroof :D
