Resetting/resyncing the Sunroof/moonroof

Can anyone help me resync my sunroof? I am aware there is a procedure for this that the dealer uses yet the exact directions I am not aware of. My sunroof is stuck in the open position and will not close. Any help or sugggestions would be appreciated.

But that won't do much good if you can't move it at all by holding the button down - something else must be wrong.

thanks for the reply but as you expected that didn't work. There is a problem with the sunroof and the dealer instead of fixing it blamed it on the wire that I tapped off to get power to my radar. I have had the set up for 2 years without issue. I can reproduce the problem without the radar even plugged in. At any rate the dealer is able to resync and reintialize it to get it closed until they fix the problem properly I was hoping somebody may have known what they had done.

I've been able to get my stuck sunroof closed a few times. Basically while I'm holding the button I just grab the molding of the window and pull forward on it and keep doing so until it starts to move on it's own, but very slowly. One time while pulling I had to also hold down the wind deflector.

Once it's close raise the window by holding down the button until it stops. It will make the "grinding" noise again but that seems to put things back to normal. If you don't hold down the button it won't raise all the way and the next time you go to slide it open you'll noice it does it very slowly because it's still not seated right.
