Resonator in front of Muffler

Just looking for others thoughts/experience in this area. 17 TRDP with URD 3" Cat-back. Has the 22" oval Magnaflow muffler and a 12" Vibrant Super quite Resonator on the tail pipe.

Really like the system with one exception.....it drones and is loud at interstate cruising above 2200 RPM. I am okay with increased sound under heavy throttle or WOT as I control this.

Does anyone have similar experience and what did they do to quiet down or eliminate some of noise level.

If you have a muffler and a resonator on there, and it still drones, you have a problem. Do you still have the stock catalytic converters? The problem is that it's a 3" exhaust system. You can keep changing mufflers and resonators, but with a 3" exhaust, you are going to have drone (yes, I have experience).

So, did you put a resonator on the front side of the muffler and if yes? Did it help. I too have lots of experience-Noise and Drone have two measurement factors. Decibels and frequency output. If you lower the frequency-in most cases, you diminish the drone to lower noise (Decibel level).

I asked as I have not accomplished this myself, but wanted to see if other have and what was the outcome.
