Restuffing (repadding? refoaming?) seats?

The side of my driver's seat is starting to collapse from years of the PO sliding in and out of the car. Anyone ever restuffed one of these seats? Or would it be easier to find a new used seat? My upholstery is in pretty good shape so I'm hesitant to ditch the seat entirely but the lean it's causing is starting to bother me.

I'll do some searching when I can get to a computer, but I keep forgetting to post this when I'm at home haha.

I might be wrong but Toyota has had such a demand for the seat cushions/foam for the 3rd gens, they have started selling them again. For awhile, I could not find them anywhere and then all of a sudden, they start showing up as "available" from places like Toyota of Dallas.....

Ok, I just pulled the trigger on new seat cushions for my drivers seat from Camelback.

https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/p...cleid=84053&diagram=8414355&diagramCallOut=15

Item 5 & item 17 , Cloth, w/o Sport seat

Seat Back Pad (5): Part Number: 7155135040
Bottom Cushion (17): Part Number: 7151135040

They have limited and sport seat cushions as well. I'll do a full write up with photos when I do the seat.

@TMP

I just went thru this... they will take the order and take your money. you will get an email on Monday and a refund.

they do not exist...

I was able to find them in japan.. about 300 shipped to the US, I have not tried it yet.

Thanks for the heads up. Back to the original plan of seat covers I guess.

I ordered and received the replacement driver's seat foam from Camelback just a few months ago...early summer 2017.
The foam is very soft, almost gooey.

I just took my 01 to an upholstery shop where they recovered both front seats with new foam, best upgrade ever, feels like a new smoother suspension went in, multiple stages of foam compression from baby soft to pretty firm, no bottoming out anymore. Luck. :cowboy:

I think I will try an upholstery shop if I can't get the parts I ordered. The fabric is in great shape but the foam is def worn out and uncomfortable. Your seats look amazing!!!

sleepydad I ordered 71511-35050 pad, fr seat cushion. It is for a 97 Limited with leather. I would post a pic but Photobucket took a dump on everybody. Hope this helps.

I ordered 71511-35050 last week - says it's for Cloth/Leather /Sport seats. I can post a pic of the cushion if/when it arrives.

these people said they had them in stock and I see $$ left my account so... will find out tomorrow

if they don't come thru I will try Dallas. I'm kind of surprised with the age and number of these trucks on the road it's been such a pain sourcing the seat foam.

What I did in mine was bought a mint passenger seat and used the bottom in my drivers seat. Almost zero wear and super plumpy and firm.

I bought one from Camelback for my Limited this summer. The part number ending in 60 is the one they think is for Limiteds but it's not available. As such I decided to try the part number that ends in 50 and when I received it, it was exactly the same as the old cushion on my seat. It was molded in the same mold with the same numbers molded into it.

I ordered from Camelback, but the cushion came from Atkinson Toyota in Texas(?). The part number on the Atkinson receipt doesn't come up as valid when I check it now. Must have been some kind of transship deal between dealers. Interestingly, the cushion is also, apparently, an identical fit to a Camry seat.
