Retrofitting headlights....does model year headlight matter for me?

Hey guys.... I have an 06 with projector headlight and I plan on picking up another set of headlights to retrofit. Do I need to find another set from an 06-09 or can I settle for an older set from an 03-05?

You must have 06-09 for your application. Compare the filler piece below the headlight and the inner bottom corner by the grill, you will then notice why.
