I think I found a few flip key options that might work! That having been said, I am far from an expert on this so please confirm before buying that these will work

VW style:
Euro Flip Key Remote for 00 02 Toyota 4Runner Chip Keyless Entry Fob 4WBAN TD1 | eBay

Another chrome flip:
CHROME FLIP KEY REMOTE FOR 00-02 TOYOTA 4RUNNER CHIP KEYLESS ENTRY FOB 4WBAN TD1

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but my 97 SR5 doesn't seem to have the RS3000. Is there any chance of getting a remote to work? I'd love to have a button for the rear window.

Hello everyone, I'm the new guy. 'AntofromSanAnto'I hope this is how a question is posted. Just bought a 2000 4runner non 4X.
Love it used it for a week, then bought an 80.00 key from Home Depot, it worked right off the bat...... for a week. Suddenly, security light wont stop blinking when either orig master OEM key or the Home Depot is in, hence truck wont start.
Can i reprogram my orig Chip key? it has no Fob.
I did just purchase a junkyard transceiver immobilizer ring, and a ECM or ECU just in case. but before i install it ;
I read somewhere that i might need to reprogram my orig key. but alas no videos or info on that.

Well i installed the junkyard immobilizer ring and the junkyard computer and had its memory cleared of old keys, but sadly it still didnt keep the security light from blinking, so still no start, anyone any suggestions?

I'm also trying to replace my fobs (1999 sr5 Limited) but am a little sketchy on going the ebay route.....any caveats to that?

Genuinely curious myself if this works for the 98 also or anybody with a 98 has bought this one? Or do I need to do the gray one similar to the broken one in OP
