Reverse Tail Light

Just bought a 2005 Limited 4WD with 170K miles. Got some minor issues working through. One is the passenger side reverse tail light is out. Replaced the bulb but that isn't the problem. Could it be the socket is bad and needs to be replaced? Thanks.

Swap the socket to other side and see if it works

Could also be the contacts on the tail light housing.
The socket might not be making a good connection.

There's also a number of wires connected to the housing , check if any are loose.
