Revo mileage and wear question

I know lots of guys have Revos on this board. I'd like to know how many miles you have on them and how they're holding up as far as traction in adverse conditions as they wear.

At the last NJ meet, some of the guys talked me into Revos over BFGs and I was just curious about this.

I'd appreciate any other comments, both negative and positive, on these tires.

Almost 15k on mine now, and lots of offroad trips. And I drive pretty fast on road as well.

So far they still look and work like new.

That's good to hear.

Most guys that are saying Dunlops suck are the ones with over 10-15k miles. Others with less miles, myself included, think they're pretty good or ok.

I just got my Daystar lift and I'm thinking of installing them this week. I might want to get new tires while I'm at it but I wanted to get some feedback on the long term use of Revos since I already spoke to many people with the BFGs. I know BFG has new technology built into the new AT KOs and I'm assuming the feedback would be about the same or better.

I thought I was set on Revtek but I decided to go with 2.5" all around rather than higher front lifts. Now with tires, I was set on BFGs but Koz talked me into Revos at the last NJ meet. Everything he said made sense for my type of driving.

BFG A/Ts are great off road but if you spend most of your time on the pavement then the Revos are way better and have a 50k mileage warranty while the BFGs have none plus the BFGs do not resist hydroplaning well and just aren't a great DD tire but I think people buy them more for looks than actual performance since I see them everywhere and on plenty of trucks that'll never see off road.

i've got them on my '98 suburban w/ a little more than 15k on them, not too bad on the wear(it's been on the highway alot)...i've got nothing but love for these things, they're badass in the rain, and pretty damn good off road considering how thin the tread pattern is to most M/T tyres.

My first hand experience does not agree. This is my second set of BFG's on a 3rd and 4th GEN 4Runner. I have never once hydroplaned with the BFG AT's and both vehicles were daily drivers with BFG's. I had bad hydroplaning with the AT-20 Dunlops and dumped them early with 50% tread left.

I've seen a heck of a lot more BFG AT's off road than Revos particularly in the Ouray/Silverton area. Just an observation.
