IF you air down, then both will be good (at least to 20 psi or so). REVOs may have an advantage because it's tread is less aggressive. Thus, it will "dig" less in the sand. This is why a highway-bias tire (Michelin Crossterrain for example) may be better than a mud-terrain in deep sand where you just want to glide over it instead of digging.

i have never had an issue with BFG's in the sand. if you air down, you will be fine with either. I have had them on my 3 Tacoma's, My Tundra and my current 4runner. I never keep a car long enough to how long they last.
