You need the Tundra spring isolation rubber. No spacers required. Additional lift can be gained by putting spacers ON TOP of assembly, or additional PRELOAD can be added by installing 5100's at a higher mount. Most people run them at second perch (tundra 5100's) and get a few inches lift. Many don't like the rake, but I don't mind it at all and keeps the axle angles within check.

Yeah i have the 3/4 inch spacer with longer top plate bolts that goes on top of the assembly, i want to make sure Rickshay did not use that on his build... im running tundra coils with the 5100's in the front and 890's with Bilsteins in the rear.....it should be pretty level according to his measurements

I'm sitting on the 3rd perch on my front shocks. No top plate spacers at this point. Although I did just order some 1/4" Toytec top plate spacers...
No worries, I understand. I can maybe clean the first post up a little too, to make it more clear.

ok so i should just run mine on the 2nd perch like you originally did and then if it sags move to the 3rd?

Yah. The lower the spring perch, the less your coils are preloaded, and the better your ride quality is. Keeping it on the 2nd perch will give the best ride with some lift. Mine are on the 3rd perch now and they still ride beautifully but I would not want to bump them to the 4th perch. The Toytec spacer will give me a hair more lift up front without changing the perch, when/if I decide to stuff bigger tires.
If your not running skids, bumper, or winch, you should be perfect on the 2nd perch. I just bumped it up to the 3rd perch knowing my winch/bumper would sag the suspension.

It seems from my week or so of searching and learning, that the TRD/LC lift is where I want to be. The only thing is, I'd like to raise the front up a little to take out SOME of the rake. I'm thinking some top plate spacers so I can maintain that second perch until I get my front bumper/armor. I should be okay with a diffdrop right?
That all said, I've been looking at forums/ebay/craigslist and cant seem to find any FJ80 Coils. I emailed cruiserparts.net, hopefully they have something for me.
My question is, does anyone know where I can find tundra isolators? It doesnt seem they're sold at wheelers anymore. Is there a problem with using the 4runner isolators?

Check with SLEE Offroad they save coils from doing LC lifts.
I bought a set 2 weeks ago from wheelers.

Apparently I'm not looking in the right places. I'll just call them.
ETA: SLEE's got them, but they mentioned that they dont keep track of length, wraps, or color codes, but they're 75 a set...

Yeah just search LC color codes on the forum. There is a thread that has them laid out by codes, length, and wraps. Figure out what color codes you want and call SLEE and let them know. Thats what I did. Went with purple/green/white and double purple/light blue/white.

I just got a voicemail from DSM telling me that they have no idea what im talking about for .75" bushings. I'll just have to source them elsewhere.
Stopping by the local dealership after work to hope they can hook it up on the TRD coils.
Wheelers website is pretty bad... best viewed through your AOL account using Netscape 2.1. You have to look under misc in the tundra section.

Yah, I've heard this several times now. The problem is that the kit your buying is not really "for a 96-02 4Runner" but a Tundra instead. DSM support it as a TUNDRA kit, it just so happens we've found a way to use these on our T4R's with a couple tweaks. It's funny cause I just told DSM I needed the 3/4" bushing for the lower mount on my Bilsteins and they shipped me the bushings cheap/free, if I remember correctly. GL on your search, I'm sure the bushings are pretty easy to source.

Online stores can get them. I think I paid $120-$140 for mine with very cheap shipping considering (10% of cost so $12-14). Williams Toyota in Oregon has a parts site (1sttoyotaparts(dot)com) or something like that. Great pricing and very helpful people. I've called them a few times for orders of mine and a friends and they know common wear parts, etc. I buy all my toyota stuff through them.
I bought my front coils from toyota parts dallas that rick mentions in his first post. Price was good and shipping was super quick. So fast that when I called late in the day to add the tacoma whip antenna parts to my order, it had already shipped out! :lol:
