RiFF RaFF's 1993 4Runner SR5 (Honey Badger) Build

After being asked (and told by my wife) I'm going to give a build thread a go. I've had my 4Runner since 2005 so if I've forgotten anything I'll add it later (if I remember). In 2003 I retired from 26 years active duty in the Coast Guard as a Chief Petty Officer (RMC/TCC/OSC - E-7), and started my civilian career in the Network Security field working as a contractor for the Veteran's Hospital. A year later our contract was let go, and after doing a short stint with FEMA helping out after Katrina I was hired again as a Network Security expert with the U.S. Courts. Since I had a shift job, and HAD to be at work (with an hour commute - one way) no matter the weather I went shopping for a 4x4. I knew what I wanted - a 4Runner! After some searching I found a 1993 4Runner SR5 in stock condition up for bidding on eBay. Best part - it was in the area where I worked. (not mine, but just like it when I bought it) Since this was going to be an all weather daily driver the first things I did was: 1. Tune up - Denso Iridium Spark plugs Bosch Life Time spark plug wire set 2. K&N Cold-Air Intake 3. 31x10.50 15" BFG A/T 4. KYB off road shocks (if you're running stock - these shocks are awesome!) 5. Fixed the little odds and ends that go with an older vehicle. (more to follow)

Three short videos of the blizzard.

Looking out our front door. You can just make out the tip of a yard stick I put out there before the storm kicked in.
