Hey guys,
Haven't seen this one done yet but my friend and I installed two rigid ten inch light bars behind the upper grille of my 2014 runner. The first thing we did was take apart the the upper portion of the grille which I didn't know was possible. It's not for a 2014 but it gave us a general idea of what to look for while taking it apart. After removing the grille, my friend then worked his magic and did a lot of measuring and cutting and ended up making some really nice brackets from aluminum. Once the lights were mounted it was time to decide if we were gonna cut the grille inserts or just leave it in place.
I really wanted max light output and I seen [MENTION=103267]Saker[/MENTION]'s thread that showed how much light he gained by cutting the grille. I was ready to cut the inserts out but decided to do a little test first. We pulled the truck out into the street and we turned the lights on to see how the output was. After that we then put the grille in place so we could compare. To my amazement the output was almost the same as without the grille and you could barely see a difference in the lights output so I decided not to cut it. Let me tell you, these lights are super bright and I am very satisfied with them. Unfortunately I didn't take any output pictures becasue I was too excited and forgot lol. I will definitely try to get some for you guys some time this week . In the mean time, here are a few pictures of the lights
