rim upgrading

i was thinkin of putting 20 inches on the 05 4r but i im not crazy about using 265/50/20 like most people suggest i like to ride in comfort, have any of you used more meat on your tires

I run the 265/50/20's in the summer and they aren't that uncomfortable. Of course you feel more of the road but it's actually a decent ride.

but do you feel pothose and cracks in the street because in nyc it seems every street is destroyed and your bound to hit pothose and street cracks no matter how good of a driver u are

I definitely feel more of the road but it's not that bad. I've run over cracks and hit small pot holes.. not problem. I feel it but really no impact on driving.

u think if i but 265/55/20 they will clear the wheel well cause i like the extra meat on my tire it makes me feel better

Add some bigger brake rotors to copunteract the performance loss you will be getting from heavier wheels. Adding +3" wheels over stock can add over 20ft to your stopping distance and that can make a difference if you end up piled up in the back of somebody but very few people actually seem to care about this or are too cheap to upgrade even tho' they just spent several grand on a bling item.

perfectly true. if you add bigger rims, you need bigger brakes. my brother had a Honda with donuts on his. but when he upgraded with rims, he had a hard time stopping so figured that OEM brakes was alittle old and wasn't good enough for 'rims' in general. so brakes is an important thing rather than driving the car.
