How's it going guys? I have a quick question.
To my understanding the stock 16" rims on an 02 runner is 16x8 with a 6x5 1/2 bolt patter. Backspacing is about 4.625 or 4 5/8.
With that said:
When looking for rims at summit there seems to be no 4.625 bs. Which BS would be ideal to use in this situation? I do not want the rim to stick out nor do I want rub.
(This is a Sports edition runner as well.)

So in short my question is this when searching at summit:
Diameter: 16"
Wheel Width: 7"
Wheel bolt pattern 6x5 1/2
Backspacing: ????

I believe all the 16" wheels are 16 x 7.5" and I'd get a wheel with 3.5" - 4.5" back spacing assuming you'll be running 265/75 or 285/75 tires.
 
I thought most factory wheels were 7" wide with the exception of the LC80 wheels which were 8" wide? I'd get 4-4.5" BS If I were you. The lower the BS, the more they will stick out.
 
The stock wheels were 16x7. If you're looking for aftermarket, look for something around 4.5" backspacing. That will get you close to stock. If you have to end up going 16x8 (not many 16x7 aftermarket wheels) you will stick out a little further, but not by much.

Fitment will also be an issue depending on what size tire you want to run as cj80 mentioned above. After my lift and 285 tires i had to also add 1-1/4" wheel spacers so my stockers would not rub the UBJ. Just think through the whole setup before purchase.

So for now I will be running stock tires. But if I ever wanted to lift it about 3 inches with 285/75 tires, what would be the BEST BS you guys would go for?
4.0 or 4.5?

My factory wheels were the 5 spoke wheels.
16" x 7", 6 Lug, 5.5" Bolt Pattern
They had a 4 5/8" or 4.625" offset.

You can do a 1.25" wheel spacer with a rim that has a 4.25 offset.
Or you can possibly do a 10" wide wheel. However, you might run into issues with rubbing and slight UCA rubbing.

As long as you get 4.5 you shouldn't have trouble with 285s hitting you're UCAs but 4.25 or 4.0 might be a safer bet. My stock wheels didn't hit with stock suspension and 285s but ive heard of others having trouble with some rubbing. This is probably due to different tire manufacturers having different sized 285s.
 
Do any of you happen to know this rim right here?

What is this of off and will this fit our Runners? Even with taller Tires?
