So, i guess i should start a thread now i have alot of catching up to do but heres the deal,
I had a 98 xj long arm on 35s with a pile of other money wrapped up in my jeep when I got the bright idea to trade the heep for a newer grand cherokee 2001 with the 4.0 limited very clean, first day i had it i ordered lift and tires. well turned out I got screwed! the kid that traded me with cash on his end.. drove this p.o.s 1 hour to my house to do the deal, therefore it was warmed up and to my eye and ear this was a clean jeep.. the next morning i came to figure out that on cold starts it had piston slap bad until it warmed up WTF! sounded like a peter-built.. He got me, so i went about my business driving it around when one night bam shattered #6 piston skirt which is a common issue with the new 4.0s. Somehow i sold the jeep for $2000 with the brand new lift kit for it and a blown motor. So after my wife was done screaming at me we decided to take the little money i had out to look around, as im laid off right now I am seriously low on cash. i drove a hour out of my way looking for the right vehicle knowing i did not want another jeep (nothing against them) just already built 15 of them and did not want to go that route. So, we pull into a buy here pay here dealer and i saw the one. A clean 1 owner 96 t4r limited with e locker completely stock and 1,700 down payment. After driving the Toyota for about a hour on a test drive i was in love! more room/ a lot more style, comfortable, 4x4, reliable, everything i found i was really impressed with over a jeep any day. cash exchanged and i was on my way home in her. I dont have a name yet feel free to chime in with one

Never been a fan of chrome wheels but that looks awesome. Nice work man. Did you do the lights in the front valance or the previous owner? That's a lot of work for a dude who's laid off, I'm very impressed. Good luck with it.

In the meantime my worse fear! driving to work 5am down interstate and i notice my lights start to dim and my gauge lights fade in and out i wonder what is going on, a closer look my temp gauge pegged on hot and steam starts to roll which looks sweet at night time. So i get it off the interstate to get out and see Yummy pink milkshake all over the drivers side and dumping onto the ground. so my Buddie brings his now lifted zj to tow me home, I know he wouldn't let it go his jeep towing my Toyota home. Got her home flushed tranny 3 times 2 new filters, alot of anger new radiator, 12 pack and hard work its fixed and i have no tranny problems to this day. :zoom:

Yeah i actually got those lights from walmart for like 20 bucks and they were pretty dang hard to get in there right haha

So after a trip to walmart i walk out to leave and dam! someone done backed into my bumper:( called the cops and whatnot hit and run, nothing on camera's so i turned it into my insurance and they wrote me a check for i believe 1200 so i decided i no longer had to use for a stock bumper and gave scotty a call and ordered my addicted off road bumper and and winch to go with it:guitar3:

Ended up selling the polished wheels and mtr's thought i would like them but the mtr's were not doing it for me and the polished wheels were a pain to keep clean from water spots so i ordered 16x8 m/t classic locks, and the new cooper discovery sst maxx, these are my favorite tires iv even owned other than the km2's
