Budget Beastaroni Build
I was in the market for a Ford Expedition when a came across a 4Runner at a local dealer. It was love at first site and the search was on.
May 17, 2014 - Day of Purchase. Totally Stock.
The Mytoy4 Satoshi Grille Modification
Followed MyToy4's Satoshi Grille Modification thread with a few tweaks. This method requires no fiberglass resin.
Lifted and Leveled
Installed Bilstein 5100's and new mMoog V8 springs all around. Front Bili's set at 0.85".
Bumper Modification
Used an angle grinder with some blue painters tape as a guide to cut the bottom half of my bumper off.
Then had a local shop fab a new lower bumper for me and painted it with self etching primer and then bedliner.
Replaced the window washer reservoir because the stock one stuck out below the bumper.
Then installed the bumper and upper skid plate.
Trimmed the bumper a little more and installed some LED Lights.
New Ebay Silver Suicide UCA's
Installed new UCA's and increased the Bilstein's to the 2.5" setting. Added Daystar 1 1/2" spacers in the back.
Rock Sliders
Had a local fab guy whip up some 72" long 2x4" square rocksliders. Painted with self etching primer and bedliner.
