Rock surfer skids

I answered this on the other thread you started... so this is a copy and paste from yesterday.

Just got them a couple weeks ago. I have not had the chance to test them out yet but they look beefy and like they will hold up well.

Things I can suggest are get a buddy to help you install them cause they are heavy and awkward to do by yourself.

The factory tow hook on the passenger side will no longer fit with them installed. No big deal in my opinion, I do have to go get 2 shorter bolts because my bumper uses those bolts as a mounting point.

Another important thing that they don't have on their website is the 2+ month lead time to get them. I got my E-locker skid a couple days later and asked about the rest of my skids because their website said the order was complete and they told me it would be a couple weeks. Then after a couple weeks I got the, waiting for parts line for a couple weeks, then they should ship by the end of this week for a couple weeks, then an excuse that the metal suppliers engraver was broken so they hadn't gotten the skid plates yet...

I don't know if this is the norm, this is just what my experience was. Their only saving grace was that they were quick to reply to my emails. Don't call them, they won't call back you have to e-mail them. I really hope this isn't the norm because I plan on ordering a full float kit soon and so far they are the only place I know of that makes one.

Good luck.

Yeah sorry about the double post. a rum front had blown through and put me in my place. The tracking number says, I'll get the skids today. So I've got the pepto, and I'm ready.

Okay, I have a whole story, of how all this went down. But to make it as short as I can.
I bought a set of upper rear control arms, parts for lower rear control arms, and a set of skids from Front Range OffRoad. I just happen to be driving thru Colorado , so I decided to just stop by and see what FROR was all about and pick up some goods. They had the control arms and parts. But I was going to have to wait a week for the skids.
Now these guys have an awesome place to come to work everyday but , it is a small shop... having two fabrication businesses being run out of the same space. I counted 4-5 guys working around some big equipment in a small space. it has to get chaotic. I can understand how production times could run long. These are real fab guys. They always returned my email. I really only had to wait about 5 weeks for the skids.not exactly what I was expecting, but 4-6 weeks for custom fabricated equipment is standard. And this is heavy duty quality equipment. I'm very satisfied. If you dont mind waiting for quality gear. Call these cats up!

Pre coating.

Awesome. My only real complaint/suggestion is they should put on their website that there is a 4-6 week lead time. Even though it is normal to expect this from people that know (I work closely with NWTI so I understand the lead times and supplier issues) many people aren't as understanding.

I will definitely purchase from them again and am overall happy with my experience and the products I got. Had they not been so good at answering emails right away it might be a different story.

I am going to put these through the wringer in a couple weeks on a wheeling trip and then spend a week on the OBDR. I can also say that my alignment guy was happy he didn't have to pull them off to do my alignment last time.

I agree 100% they should just say it's 10-12 weeks and when you get in 6. Whoopi
I always hope when I hear 10-12 , they be here in 6. I'm waiting 12 on a set of Kings now. So far the only one to get things to me early was "LIL SKIPS". He told me it would be about 10 days. The skid was on my porch by the end of the week. Hell yeah!
