Rocker panel top trim (sill plate?)

I'd like to remove the plastic sill plate trim on the top of the rocker panel. I've marked it with a red arrow in the picture. This is at the driver's door.

Does anyone know how to remove it?

I want to remove it so that I can look at some rust that is coming out from under the plastic trim.

I think it is double side tape

On my '09 the plate is held by clips, just pull up firmly and they come off.

Thanks for the answers. I'll take a look this weekend knowing either way it is attached on the bottom side.

Just took the trim pieces off and they use clips on mine. There are 4 clips with a centering pin in the middle.

Didn't think to take any pics once they were off and are not back on.
