Rocksliders as steps

4x Innovations' new bolt on sliders feature tread plates that work great as a step. The slider can also be welded on flat with tread plates for that situation as well. Plus they are on sale right now.

C4Fab for the win! These are legit! They have the largest and smartest design I have seen for mounting for strength!

I love my SSO sliders. They come out flat, have plates over the top, and function quite well as steps. I can't say how just yet, but I tested their strength this past weekend. . . . they're bomb proof.

I'm glad I bought my Shrockworks sliders after installing my 2.5'' lift. I have a short gf so it was a no brainer. Plus it looks sweet!

RCI occasionally makes 5 degree bend sliders that work good for steps (normal bend is 20 degrees). I have them and my wife finds them useful.
I do agree that they hit the back of your pants when getting out of the car.

I have the C4 Fab sliders and have been really happy with them. Install was pretty easy, even with KDSS, and they work well for a step as well.

Happy with my Hefty sliders as sliders...wife like them as steps....win win.

Ordered these too, great price as well....$659 with free shipping and powder coat.

Liked the C4 Fab sliders, they look awesome, if they had a sale would have contemplated getting those instead.

I'm probably going to go with the SleeOffroad version. Had shrockworks on prior 4R and angle was really too steep to have any use as a step. Shrockworks makes a great product just for our family needs I like the Slee version albeit $$$

If you do get them any time soon, post up some pictures and what you think. I've been holding off buying sliders for awhile and have thought a bunch about the Slees. I feel like they are the best of both worlds if you don't mind the price (and you are not going to be taking your vehicle in god awful rocks constantly).

Think their website said 2 - 4 weeks before they ship. These don't have the kickout which are more appealing but for the price and how much OR use they get, they will work just great.

Not sure how they will work for steps, my wife is pretty short so I will try to remember to let you know how she likes them and shoot some pics too(of the sliders, not my wife) ;):

Sliders will also protect your doors from other doors... no more door dings.. and they are great if you get a roof basket

And they are a great filming platform for action shots on El Camino Del Diablo

Not a recommended usage, but they do work great haha, they worked even better for getting me on top of the roof for rolling shots on the Mojave Road.
Mine have prevented me from body damage quite a few times already.

Jason koko has those sliders on his 4Runner. Look up his YouTube videos.

I really like my Relentless running rails & I've got a set that were built 2" too far fwd I'll sell cheap! They sent me a new set- Great service

I went with the Southern Style Offload sliders/rock rails.

I wanted something that had an actual step, a kickout, and that did not angle up. These fit the bill.

The actual quality is phenomenal. They took the time in R&D to get bolt holes lined up to where all I had to do was chase the holes with a tap, and everything else was easy.

Does anyone have an issue with fitting back of calves when exiting? I'm 6' tall and always drag my pants leg on the OEM running boards.

Thx.
B.
