I am pleased with the rack although install was more involved that I had hoped. Two most attractive things about this rack were price and using factory rails.

Instructions indicated to install from rear; however, shark fin antenna is in the way. Thought no problem slide it in from the front instead. Unfortunately, the channels in the factory rails aren't fully accessible from the front as they are from the rear. Must remove front supports from rails and roof.

Ordered on May 19; delivered on July 19. Packaging was damaged but rack was not.

My concern would be that in removing the front mounting for the supports that you would be opening yourself up for the possibility of a leak. Based on your install do you think this is a possibility?

I don't think so. When removing it's not like I was unsealing anything. All gaskets involved are held in place by the pressure of the mounting bolts. I did put some silicone sealant on the bolts when reinstalling just for good measure.
