convert to TEs? Convert what, the rack? The racks are the same at this point. I don't know when the TEs had the black ones, though. Definitely not on 2015s.

I doubt mine was an SR5 converted into a trail. To me that would be allot of man hours installing KDSS changing body parts etc. Manual and factory sticker indicated mine as a Trail Edition.
I assume the 2014 and earlier Trail Editions had different roof rack, slightly longer.

I thought it was weird that they said dealers were converting them it didn't sound right. So you needed to buy the rack for the SR5? Do you think I should buy the trail version or the SR5? I have a 2015 TEP

sorry for the delay. I have the awning and mount taken off right now so here is the only picture I can find of the aluminum awning bracket on the RRO rack:
The vertical supports use the channel plate bolts on the RRO rack. The horizontal suface is then fastened using the longer bolts for the tubing set screws.

I think SR5 is going to be the length your want for the 2015 TEP. But you can measure the rail and confirm length with RRO. Again I had to send mine back, and I purchased the Trail, to fit my 2014 TE. The RRO SR5 rack length is 39 3/4", Trail is 2" longer. Confirm with RRO.

They finally responded to me. The Trail edition rack is 41" long and the SR5 is 37".
I didn't know the SR5 and the trail had different length roof rails.

2010 ~ 2013 Trails had unique rails and cross bars...since 2014, all 4Rs have the same rails and cross bars.

That explains it. 2014+ TE should get the SR5 length rack, learn from my mistake.

Alright guys, so for the past few weeks I have been speaking with RRO with the issues on the roof racks (specifically, people ordering trail edition racks and having fitment issues.)
The problem was that RRO was not aware that in the refresh (14+), the Trail edition was given a different roof rack.
I gave them measurements on the 2014+ roof rails and have now added a third option for the 14+ trail edition models.
Hopefully this solves the fitment issues. I plan on ordering one of their racks in the next few days and once it arrives, ill let you guys know how they fit.

Good job. I tried my best to point this out to them. Also suggesting a change to the ordering menu. However, RRO seemed to think I just didn't know how to order correctly and I didn't know which model I had, Trail vs SR5. In the end I got to pay $140 extra for my rack because I had to send the rack back for the shorter length. I also purchased rock sliders and jack mount from them. Hope it works out for you!

yea I was thinking about you when talking with them. I would honestly ask them for a refund (if you still have the invoices/ receipts from shipping) they are clearly at fault

I really like the RRO rack, and like I do with all purchases I make, I called and talked to them, twice, and both times I talked to them, I got someone on the phone that did not have a good handle on the products...gave me very little confidence in purchasing a rack. So if anyone from RRO is reading this, or someone at RRO that knows their product, please IM me and we can talk.

RRO adventure rack
I am interested has anyone used this rack with a RTT. I am looking at a CVT RTT. I have been doing a lot of researched and I am coming up with a mixed review. Some say the stock rails will hold the RTT(I don't really want to trust those rails) But the RRO rack looks solid and its says something about 1000lbs or something for the rake. Not sure on the rails. The tent weighs 300lb and with myself 245lb, wife 145lb, and two sons 65lbs and 35lbs that's a lot of weight on the roof. I know I should just buy a gobi or front runner but cant afford all of these right now. I am looking for options. thanks for any help
