Not sure about mounting points but they definitely fit different. Maybe if we can meet up soon you can take a look. I really like mine versus the gobi, I can still clean under it and easy to adjust if you added lights or something.
Yeah now that I've worked out some other issues I'm starting on my fridge mount and slide.

It was functional, but the welds were not great. Plus my ladder would hit when I lifted the gate. You are more than welcome to take a look at it, or I can send you pictures.

Great build. The more time I spend on this site I come across mods that I would like to do myself and I have found myself looking at your rig on several occasions thinking, damn... nice ride.

Sliders and skid plates installed
Today I installed my RCI sliders and skid plates. Pretty straight forward install. Great product!. I decided to fo with RCI because they are local and they are the beefiest slider on the market. The group-buy didn't hurt either.
I had them powdercoated a textured semi gloss black.
And installed...

Yup, me too, painted mine as well with truck bed liner. I feel confident that 100lbs or so difference is not going to matter given the weight of the truck already. At least you have the full gas skid to start, that was the second mod I did to my truck given the half skid they put on mine.

DIY rear cargo drawer build
I decided to go ahead and build some cargo drawers along with a built in sub enclosure. I was inspired by the build on the FJ forums

Here is the plan that he had.
But mine looked more like this...
Basically, I made it more of a low profile design because my dogs will be sitting on top of it and I shortened the drivers side drawer to accompany a sub enclosure. I used 1/2" MDF.
I used the Kreg jig on most of the frame. It works great and creates a super strong joint.
Test fit the frame inside the truck
Built the drawers

Testing slides
Test fit working drawers inside truck. I ended up later removing the rear carpet to add another 1/2? clearance
Primered the drawers and inside of the box
3 coats of Rustoleum truck bed coating. I ended up using about 5 cans of the stuff.
Top was then attached and hole was cut for the sub.
Test fit the sub. Big success!

Hit the top with primer..
Finished up painting exterior with truck bed coating..
Installed latches
Also installed a quick disconnect plug for my sub.
Sub installed
Put some drawer liner in to keep things from sliding around. I may put in some thicker foam later on.
