Ahh not really, Salvo Jimmy is legit, don't be scared.

And don't leave packet almonds in glove box- nothing like driving and suddenly noticing movement in the back seat.

Understand I'm not questioning Salvo Jimmy's legitimacy. Nor do I question my friends' or family members' legitimacy. But sometimes I get emails "from" them that aren't really from them, you know? I imagine that kind of thing would be easy to do on here - post malicious links. Heck, it happens several times a year on my work email. I'm just a really hesitant guy for clicking on stuff.
 
The link is to an article in my local paper. This site now seems to put up that warning for any external link. It was there in another thread for a link to a TSB.
 
The amazon review shows a photo where a rodent ate right through it, with lots of similar 1 star reviews.

Thanks. My cautiousness is not from the site warning but from Internet crap in general. My boys clicked on a link or two years ago and ended up trashing my work laptop. I’m too cautious I’m sure.
 
It doesn't work. Had a job where they required us to wrap some flexible PVC is this "tape". I think the rats thought it was food because it didn't work.

True story!
American Honda has been selling rolls of the tape and selling wiring harnesses wrapped in it for a decade now.
They have an issue with “rodents” eating the soy based plastics that they use ( READ:great environmentalist idea gone bad) that they started “adding the same ingredients that make 5 alarm chili hot” to the tape.

I lost a very expensive car a year ago due to rodent eating wire harness, LR wanted over 24K plus to fix. Insurance company decided to total it. That's when I bought my 4runner. Things I learned from this experience: 1.) This is very common. 2.) The wire casing on electrical wires is made from soybean.
 
Has anyone tried this? My 19 Runner is at the dealer now for rodent damage. I have comprehensive insurance but still don't want to deal with this again. I saw the Honda tape and may purchase to wrap the harness myself. Current dealer estimate.

Several times a year? You lucky...i get phish spam theft shit....all day long. Some are very sophisticated with full on corporate websites.. :eyebrows:
 
If you cry at the movies, wet the bed or otherwise have an unstable psyche do not watch these videos.

Consult the local Authorities for proper authorization prior to engaging in these activities.

I miss the days when automotive components were made of toxic substances instead of ecoweenie bioplastic shit that is like crack candy to rodents.
 
There is a guy on YouTube who has a channel where he videos all kinds of mouse traps. I can't remember his name. Anyway, he put some very hot sauce (I think it was ghost pepper) on sunflower seeds and put it in his barn. The mice and rats ate it up like candy.
