Rola Roof rack lighting options

Hey guys i have a Rola vortex roof rack with extension and i want to add some nice lights on it but i'm not sure what set up to run? I'm in between two options i think would be good i just wanted to get some input or feedback, thoughts or opinions. Much appreciated Thanks..

Option 1. - Single row light bar mounted on top, Probably a 30'' or 32'' Flood/spot combo. Like this

Option 2. - 4 separate 7'' led's 2 spots and 2 floods, not really sure if the spots should be positioned on the outside and floods in the middle or vice versa ? If i where to run this option i would probably remove the small wind fairing and mount them to the lower bar so hopefully they will sit down flush in the front.

Option 3. - 31.5'' dual row spot/flood combo and try to tuck it in between the two front bars so it sits flush.

I also plan to do 2 - 7" floods on the back of the rack and 2 slim 6" underneath the rear bumper for reverse lights. Only the slim 6" will be used for the reverse lights not the 7"s.

I'd use one of the single row options. I tried a 30" double row on the same rack and it's too big to fit and be low profile. Have you driven without the fairing? Mine was super loud without it, so I'd lean towards a single row on top of the rack.
 
Here's how mine was setup. I will say other than noise, I had issues with the light vibrating. The rola doesn't mount very solid, but there are aftermarket mounts that would probably help.

Hmm ok so that means the 7" ones probably won't fit in there either.No i've never driven without the fairing and i figured that might be a issue if i didn't run it. Yeah so the single row might be the best option.

That looks really good though! Yeah i'm waiting on the lowering brackets for the rola rack right now so once i get those it will be sitting a little lower and maybe a little more solid? I know it won't fit in between but i wonder if there are some mounts that will make sit really flush in between those two bars? ahh but then its back to removing the fairing so idk i guess not?
 
I think you could also do it the way I did and just mount the bar on the stock rack, forward of the rola?

Or maybe use some U bolts around the rack bars? I'd like to see it a little lower profile no?

I think those brackets will help with vibration (these weren't on the market at the time I did this). The main issue was the give in the OEM crossbars. I would shoot for mounting a 30" single row above the rack, like mine was but further back. This way you keep the fairing and the light is a lower profile. I really wanted the roof mount to work, but in the end the bumper mount just turned out better for me (more solid and no added noise). I am out of town for the next several days, but I'll try to remember to take some pics when I get home. I have a 30" double row on my 4runner and a 30" single row on my pickup, will try to get a comparison shot for reference.

Also, either way you go, you'll probably need to weld on mounts, hard to find a bolt on solution that positions the light bar where you want it. Before you go any further, take a minute to remove the fairing and drive around, its very loud, especially if you have a sunroof. This will probably point you in the direction you need to go.

goto queens BLVD to speedworld, ask for jason. tell him i sent you, steve from philly. he has the hanma and all those lights you listed in stock.

bring your truck and see them in person ask to bring them out to the truck and see what fits. buy them from him. no shipping, haggle with him. if you have to, ask about warranty, of there is issues, then it makes life so much easier!

The Rola rack has a curve which doesn't allow you to mount flush.
also hinders aiming the lightbar. I get no vibration and the wind nose ain't that
Bad although you can slightly hear it with the windows up.

I have to look into different mounting options or just do what Ark said and get some nice brackets welded on, yeah want it to be as low profile as possible.

It looks like the lowering brackets should be pretty solid because the attach right into the side bars and then secure with U bolts instead of attaching to the cross bars.

Yeah it looks like the single row will be the best option mounted flush on top and keeping the fairing on. I have buddy who can probably fab up some nice mount and weld them up for me. Pics always help that would be great man. Thanks

OK i'll have to go check him out after i get back in the city after the holidays! Thanks ,, Shops in NYC are always pretty aggressive when it comes to pricing and getting things done, they have to be because there competing a million others so they have to hustle, the thing is you have to know the right ones so you don't get ripped off or crap work done !

Mine feels pretty solid and i haven't had any issues with it. Ark was saying that hey had issues with his light bar vibrating and that he felt his rack wasn't 100% solid is because the way it mounted to the cross bars because they had some give in them.

Wow that looks awesome! I like the lights on the side too, i was thinking about maybe doing something like that as well. You have a lot more room to play with on your rack as its taller.What types of mounts are you using,U bolts? Do you have any good pics of the way the front and the back are mounted? Thanks
