Well heres the story...me and one of my roommates went 4 wheeling on friday. It was some public trails that had a few "playgrounds" as they were called, mud holes, hill climbs, and rocks. It also had a very long trail the connected everything. It started out as a good day, this was the first real wheeling experience me and my roommate had had in either of our trucks. I had a 93 4runner he has a 01 TRD Techoma, both recently bought. We were on our way out and I decided to try a difficiult creek crossing/rock crawling section, not a good choice...damn low hanging gas tank. I put a good dent in it, enough so that when i compressed the right rear suspension my drive shaft rubbed. I wasnt to worried about it, only took a screwdriver and a hammer to bang the bent part out of the way. After that we decided to just leave and no more messing around so we did but there was still more misfortunes to happen. I was the lead truck and on the way out i came up to an enbankment to the left that dropped straight down 3' with a trail to the right. I turned my wheel right...truck kept going straight(mud filled tires), I hit the brakes...kept slidding straight off the enbankment. Front left hit first then the back end came on over and i was upside down. There was less damage than i thought, most of the front left and the hood and 2 monor dents but otherwise drivable by all means. No leaks or anything. We got the truck back up right by the only way to pull it out with little damage was backwards but we didnt have a truck strong enough to pull the front tires straight up a 3' enbankment. I took untill Monday to find someone to get me out, no tow truck could get down there. Heres the best part...on moday i went to my local 4 wheel shop to meet with a guy to get me out, his jeep was the heat. We went down to where my truck was and it wasnt there. Some one stole the bitch. We drove all the trail but found nothing. I went back filed a stolen car claim was the cops, called insurance and am wating for a call back from them to figure out whats gonna happen. So thats my story and im sticking to it.
