For anyone not worried about drilling through their roof I mounted the my light bar up there and reckon its ok!
Sketched out a design and cut out some cardboard templates to test fit
When finished marked them out on to some 6mm thick flat bar
Cut it all out along with some feet
Also some rubber to act as seals and allow a bit of flex in the mounting
Then get it all together
Lots of marking and double measuring before first drilling and bolting in the feet
Add a few spt welds to hold it in place
Take it all down, run some welds along teh rest of it, paitn black and added some gasket sealer to either side of the rubber pads so it holds it all together while I mess around tightening it all up
Screw it in
then add light bar!
Turned out pretty good, there is no wind noise on the highway, well I don't think there is but the snorkel is so loud I doubt I would hear it anyway.
Only other thing is there is a bit of light on the bonnet but not enough to be distracting
