Roof Rack question

Greetings--
I see a lot of people asking about factory roof rack upgrades in terms of carrying gear, camping, etc. I have a similar issue. We need to load up 2 mountain bikes and some gear (large tent in bag) and we have the factory roof rack and rails. Can anyone recommend a solution for bikes and gear on the roof? We have an '04 Sport

Can you put a bike rack on the back of the trailer? Or use a hitch splitter like this to put them between the truck and the trailer? https://www.1up-usa.com/product/gen-y-hitch-extender/

Roof boxes are good for gear on the factory roof rack, and you should be able to fit at least one bike tray next to one.

Yakima Forklift x 2 and maybe strap down cargo bag in between the bars, that should do it.

I have Thule crossroads which attach to the side rails and then whatever length loadbars you want. Craigslist is your best bet. I can carry 3 kayaks on my roof with my various cradles and saddles.

Couldn't find anything locally on craigslist. The bag part won't work because our bagged tent is about 4-5ft long. The plan was to put the bikes on the roof and strap the tent bag to the rails in-between the bikes. Does anyone know if the factory cross rails can handle 2 mtn bikes and a heavy (30-40lb) tent bag? Nothing would be touching the roof itself. It's a 2004 and I wonder if the rails would be sturdy enough. Maybe just putting on a Thule rack? However, I read on their website that their load max is 165lbs.

Mine is an 2004 as well and this is what I transported 100 highway miles this weekend at 70/75mph. Each kayak weights close to 60lbs.
