Planning on installing a Maggiolina Airland RT on factory Limited siderails.
What is your opinion of available, lowest profile locking crossbars?

Your Limited rails are not rated to handle the weight.....if you do a search there is probably more detailed info.

What are the factory rails rated at? (weight wise)

I thought I read somewhere 200lbs but not sure. I do know most RTT do not recommend that as an option! The factory crossbars are rated to carry a cotton ball I believe...

Just to be clear, we're talking about the rails that go front to back. Not the crossbars which are rated to 75lbs.
The main support structure these bolt to are the same place GOBI, Baja, etc. mount to. I'm going to assume it's the same 600lb static rating. But don't quote me on that.

Thank you all for the input. James Baroud recommended three Rhino Rack Aero/SXB crossbars to attach to the 4Runner factory rails for the mounting of their Evasion Evolution Rooftop Tent.

Do you just run 2 crossbars on your Thule Rapid Crossroad or did you buy a second 450R for a total of 4 crossbars for your RTT? Are 2 crossbars enough for a Tepui Autana 3 or will we need 4 crossbars?

Old thread (2014) so you may not get a response from the person you quoted.

2 crossbars are sufficient. 4 is really overkill.
