Hello from AZ. Im looking to purchase a 3rd generation 4Runner and it appears this site is going to help. Im a totally new and need as much info as possible. I do have a friend who is wanting to sell his 01 SR5. Here's a brief snapshot.....basic SR5 4x4 with 127,000 miles, he is the second owner, limited flares but no running boards (white body, silver flares), no accidents, just had front brakes done and rear too. He has taken great care of the truck so i know it hasn't been abused or neglected with routine maintenance. He is asking $9,000. Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That seems like a *decent* deal, though I would think at that price and mileage you could score some more upgrades if you're willing to set your sights and wait for a deal. I'm also in AZ, and I've bought both of my runners from out of state...it seems like our market here dictates a higher price point, unfortunately.
