Inquired about getting the decibel level on the lock/unlock beeps turned down as a courtesy to my neighbors, determining if could turn off the auto-unlock when shift into park since I'm in the big city now, and maybe turn off the DRL's with the OEM scan tool.

Want to guess how much I was quoted? Try $105 plus tax. So....how much does that come out to an hour again?

Guess I'll just have to post about the experience on a widely read 4Runner forum and find a dealership that appreciates my business enough to charge fees appropriate for the service rendered versus just pulling a figure out of their ass. First part accomplished. On to the second.

That's weird, I had no problem having them turn my beeping noise off at all. I dropped it off one day for service and asked them to add that to the list. No issues and free of charge. I have only visited Roseville Toyota a few times, but they have all been good experiences.

Was it in for warranty service or for paid service? Paid service I'd expect them to help you out...if they arent getting cash they could care less about helping you out.

Well, they did it when I dropped it off to have the leather seats installed. But they didn't do the installation, they sent it to a third party installer for that.

In theory though, it's something that should take about 30 seconds to reprogram.
