Rotors and brake pads recommendations?

Has anyone gone with brake performance brand rotors and pads? A full set for v8 4th gen costs about 400 with shipping. I heard theyre made in USA which i like.

Sure is I bought a power stop kit from Rock auto drilled and slotted rotors for a 2011 4runner , you do need to replace the calipers as well. The calipers have updated pistons so they dont freeze up like the old ones do. for the rear use the 2011 calipers with the stock year rotors. Everything bolts right up the front rotors are larger so you will have to bend the dust shields just a little so they dont rub the rotor. I did this on my wifes 03 stops great now. If need be im sure I can dig up the part numbers I used. There is also a post on how to do this on here somewhere. Dont be afraid if you can do a brake job it no harder than that.

Great advice! I upgraded to rock auto’s power stop full 5th gen kit for my 4th gen and made the mistake of installing the 5th gen rotors and got the dreaded parking brake scrape. Going to replace with 4th gen rotors now but question: should I stick with the 5th gen pads that came with my 5th gen caliper kit or do I need 4th gen pads to go with the 4th gen rotors?

All those rotors are made out of old chinese tanks and pots and pans. Been running the cheap powerstops on my vehicles and been happy with them!

why not make life simple and go OE? i can get pads/rotors/shim kit for under $200.
