Routing wideband from exhaust into pillar pod

Sup dudes. I have a basic idea of how I want to run the wire harness for my wideband, but wanted to see if there are any detailed pics / write ups.

I'm thinking to route it the same way I'd route a power cable for a sub/amp. Out of teh way, and as direct as possible from source to source.

As from what I've searched, most people use the factory rubber grommet with main wire harness. Obviously drilling a new hole is the other option...which did you do and why? Do you have any photos of the route from bung to firewall?

I figure I can drop the sensor down to the area of where I think it will be welded in - run the harness wires up along the back side of engine bay / firewall. Insert harness in rubber grommet to feed into cabin. Take up slack. Zip tie / mock up.

Any other tips / suggestions? :gun5:

No good pics or write up for you since so many folks had already done this. I take it you have a Lotek pod already for your A-Pillar. So I ran my Boost and Wideband gauge wiring and vacuum hose through the ECU on the pax side firewall. I also ran my wiring for my ARB compressor through there as well.

Ran the wires behind the glove box, behind the center bezel, up near the dash and up between the dash and the A pillar. (Extremely tight fit there.) In this way, I don't have any wires on the firewall inside the engine bay. They're all hidden inside the rig.

My only regret is how old the rubber is on the ECU boot. It didn't take much for that boot to tear and that was using a wire coat hangar with the metal end protected with heat shrink and tape to pull the wires through.

I guess your other option is to drill a hole in the firewall and use a Daystar firewall boot and run your wires through there instead of the ECU. You;'ll need two vacuum "T's" or one with two inputs - one for the wideband and one for the boost. Hope this helps.
