My 91 has stock 4.56 with 31's. 2500 in 5th gear at 65 sounds about right.

Many runners (and pickups) came with 4.56, usually to help with the auto tranny/ factory 31s/ and or tow package. Some even had 4.88s.

No I think u still got 4.10s....if u wanna check without pulling the diff, Jack the truck up chalk the drive shaft and tire, make 1 full rotation with the tires and count how many times your drive shaft spins wont be super accurate but it'll give u an idea

How many turns should the driveline spin in that one rotation that would signify 4.10?

Yes 4 full rotations and a little past the center mark .10

Not if you have an open diff. If you are just spinning one tire, you need to go two full rotations of the tire. If you're spinning both tires (rolling the truck), one rotation is correct.

Its up to you. If you decide to go 33s then I'd say find a set of 4.56s or 4.88s

This chart says I should change to 4.56 for 32x11.5's .. would I really see any huge benefits obtained by getting this done someday? gas mileage? extra feeling of power, etc.

I also noticed this:

Toyota sometimes mistakenly coded trucks with 4 pinion
diffs with a "2" code. To verify if yours is a 2 or 4 pinion
diff, count the number of fins on each side of the diff. A 4
pinion diff will have 4 fins on each side. A 2 pinion will
have 3 fins on each side.

What are the "fins"?

I am assuming they mean the metal ridges that run the length of the diff.

The v6 should be fine for 32s, if then feel too slow after you can always change them out.

hmm .. doesn't feel slow at all. I need to make sure I still have the stock 4.10 or something else..

Thanks for the pics. When I get my 4Runner back from my body man, I'll look at those fins to see what my pinion deal really is.
