rpm's

my old 4runner was an automatic with V6. The one I drive now is the same except a 5 speed. The big difference is the rpm's doing 120 Km's an hour. The auto was 2500 rpm's and the 5 spd is 3000!! is this normal? I thought it was high. Does anyone with the same 4runner give me some info! THanks Mark

sounds ok to me the rpm of your engine would depend on your gear ratio even your tires can change rpm as in if your running oversized tires.
