While I was driving today I decided to push the RSCA Off button at a red light. However once I pushed it I saw no indicators or lights so my question is how do you know if it is off or on?

Thanks

I was messing with this feature too. I believe it can only be engaged while in 4Low. From what i've read it turns off the side curtain air bags for when you're off roading. If the vehicle gets at a crazy angle the computer could mistake it as a roll over and deploy them. That button turns them off. But from my experience i've only gotten an indicator light while pushing it in 4low

My dads tundra has them, and you have to hold the button for a few seconds then it goes off. There will be a RSCA light on the cluster that will come on.

Everyone should do this when going off-road. I have seen first hand vehicles that don't have the RSCA off button deploy the airbags for no reason while off-road. Depending on your service dept. it probably wouldn't be covered by the warrenty. Not to mention that those airbags, that may save a life on-road, could hurt and/or kill you and/or your passengers while off-road. Simple enough to turn off.

Just remember to turn them off again after restarting the vehicle if your still off road or in off-camber situations.
