I don't have this on my '03 Ltd. But i've seen it on the '04+. What does it stand for and what does it do? Can this be added on to my '03? Also, i've seen an Off button with a pic of a car and winding road. I assume it turns off the VSC. I thought that if you lock your differential, the VSC won't work. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Without going and finding it in the owners manual (i had a hard time finding it) it turns off the side air bags when in 4lo to prevent accidental deployment. Pre 03 not have side bags? I don't know for sure.

Alright. So someone chime in if im wrong.

But the RSCA are your side air bags and to turn it off you just hold it down for 3 seconds. Its just for off roading and if you get really tippy your sensors wont think you're tipping over and deploy the air bags.

Regarding the VSC. When you lock your diff it turns off your vsc but keeps your ATRAC. It's a complicated system. But yes, locking your diff will turn it off and allow you to slide around. (I've dont doughnuts on the snow with it locked and was flipping around with ease). Although I wouldn't suggest doing what I did. I wont do it again but I just needed to give it a shot.

Side airbags were optional in the '03. I don't think many had them.

Rollover-Sensing Side Curtain Airbags (RSCA) was added in 2004. With the side-curtain airbags installed (optional through 2007, standard 2008-09), RSCA will fire off the side curtain airbags if it detects that the vehicle is rolling over. Since that could be bad for off-roading situations, it comes with a switch on the dash to turn off that feature as described above.

I do have side airbags on my front seats, front corners (curtain), and rear sides (curtain). I'm just confused why i saw a 4R with differential locking button and VSC Off button???

You saw an '08 or '09. Begginning in '08 they added a VSC off button to the 4wd model. This is a nice feature as defeating the VSC and still having the Torsen diff in the center is nice in some situations. If it was a TE then there was an additional button for locking the rear axle. There is a lot of buttons on the TE, Center diff lock, Rear diff lock and RSCA off.

2003 T4R Limited

just bought my very first T4R (2003 Limited). It does have side airbags but no RSCA button. Is it possible to install RSCA button and have it work as normal?
