rules on buying help

heres the deal. I am 16 and I am looking into getting into some more hardcore offroading and I got my heart set on a 4runner. I have narrowed it down to 3. what is your opinion on what you buy?
1997 Toyota 4runner 4x4 Nice
1995 Toyota 4Runner
1996 Toyota 4runner 4x4 5 speed

The 96 would top my list (with possible exception on miles as it doesn't list them), then the 97/95 would be a toss up depending on how they are in person. 3.slows are sketchy with head gaskets, but it looks to be in great shape. The 97 looks rougher, but could be different in person.

I'd ask for carfaxs on all 3 and see if anything jumps out on them. Also a good visual personal inspection and a have a shop take a look at the best one before you commit.

So I went in looked at the 95 and was very displeased. The 4wd didn't work. Off my list.
The 96 has 112 on it

96/97 are the same truck so it's down to condition, vehicle history, accidents etc.

Check for carfaxes, and get the one checked by a mechanic before you commit.

Whichever one you feel comfortable with for price, miles, options and conditions will work at this point.

well i went to look at 97 it was eahh. it was lift worthy. i also looked at 96 and fell in love.
