Hey olliebear, lighten up. You have no idea what his history is. Maybe he is the first person in his family to ever graduate from high school. Is that good enough for your high and mighty standard? Lots of us have joined the military, fought for our country and paid our own way, what's the point or relevance? Heck, even military personnel get paid a salary for their work. I'm a volunteer firefighter. That means I run INTO burning houses and come to people's aid during times of need. I get paid NOTHING, I VOLUNTEER my time I could be spending with my family to make a difference in other's lives because I find value in serving my community. I hope that when I need help someone will come to my rescue and not pre-judge me, like you have so easily done, based on what vehicle I'm driving, what clothes I wear or where I live. Who knows, maybe his family has the means and the forethought to donate the money that put that jaws of life unit on the fire truck that shows up to cut you out of your 4 Runner when some drunk driver hits you, but of course, that would never happen to someone with "some fancy initials behind your name that most people don't have." And as you so eloquently put it son, pardon me if I incorrectly assumed you were mature enough not to prejudge someone you don't even know.
