Running board removal but keep lights

I have an 06 limited with running boards and want to remove them. However, I do like how the lights come on. What kind of light recommendations can you guys give for some to go under the doors, but not require a running board?

A buddy said they make some that are magnetic which you should be able to get a connector for?

It wouldn't be too hard to wire in some led rock lights. Just bolt them right to the frame.

You could run some LED's by the foot under the doors. I put them under my bed rack on my Tacoma and they work great! Cheap too.

Here is about the best picture I have of em. I'll try to take one later today in the light. There just 12V, so I soldered wires onto the light strip, through a switch in my tool box, and to my battery source. The backing of the stuff I bought is 3M double sided tape, so it stuck real well. Been on there about a year now in the Vegas heat.
