Hello,
I have recently installed after market running boards on my 2006 4Runner.
The original stock running boards had been damaged due to an accident, hence the reason for replacement.
The original running boards had lights, and the running boards that I recently purchased/installed have lights as well. Unfortunately, the stock wiring connector at the bottom of the 4Runner does not match the wiring connector that came with the after market running boards.
How can I resolve this issue?
Do I purchase an entire running board light kit and only use/splice the connectors so that they match? Or, is it possible to only purchase the needed connectors?
I have been to a few auto parts stores and cannot find the right connector type, and I have contacted the company where I purchased the after market running boards, but they have not responded.
Thank you for your help!
