Running Boards install

So I am putting my running boards back on and as many of you know there are two different size bolts that come out of the body to remove them. My question is, do y'all remember which ones went where? Have a diagram?

i believe the shorter ones go in the rear.

I have a 2004 and am looking for an alternative to my running boards (I don't like mine because with all the little square ridges they're hard to keep looking good). Do you guys have any recommendations?

Where to buy them i dunno, you can try the classifieds or go to a junk yard.

Are these worth anything? I'm about to take mine off, all they do is get my pant leg dirty, and it will only get worse this winter.
