I have a 1998 4runner limited, and the last time i washed it, i noticed that the running boards are slightly faded (the black plastic part), and i was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to make the plastic on the running boards look new again. I used Amorall (sp?) on my brothers '96 4runner SR5, and it looked good, but i have read that amorall is really bad for the plastic or something of that sort. I would love to have some imput on how to make the black plastic look new again.

havent used on running boards but you might try 303 protectant I use it on all the black window trim and weatherstrippiing, and even on the tonneau cover on my truck. works great

The new Armor All products are much improved over the old versions. Therefore, you shouldn't have any problems. Having said that, the suggestion the others made on the Zaino, and 303 are good ones. Both of the products are probably better than Armor All........... and more expensive. :D

I tried the armor all during the summer and I thought it was a big mistake. The running boards got very slick.
