Can anyone share photos or just tell me how many wires they ran on passenger side or on the driver side of the truck. How many wires they ran through the factory grommet or if they drilled extra holes and if so where at. I wil need to run two seperate 4 gauge wires through a firewall, then about 10-15 wires raging from 12gaugw to 14 gauge.

You should be good with the factory hole on the driver's side. I've got roughly the same setup you plan on doing. At this point though the grommet is a pain to get anymore wires through. I'll need to remove it completely if I plan to run more... Which I do. I'll take a picture later today.

My set will be :
4gauge amp wire
4gauge aux fuse box going to the back seat
10 , 12 gauge wire coming back from fuse box for accessories
About 4-7 14 gauge none relay fused wires.
And possibly few little extra wires.
How do you guys run the wires inside the truck ? How many can you fit under the driver pillars ? Or is it good to run it under the carpet around the contours ? I have the whole interior and carpet out. So it doesn't get easier.
I need to run 3 seperate RCA cables from rear passenger area to the head unit, a 9-wire from that location to the head unit. And the 4 gauge power wire. Which I wanna run away from all those so I don't have alternator whine.
And the aux fuse box will be installed in where the stock jack goes. It's bussmann 10 relay fuse box.
Mind sharing photos ? I have a 5 speed so if you refer to area where the clutch pedal mounts then I can't do that.

I ran my 2 4ga and 2 12ga down the driver's side on the bottom there are already wires running there so I just sat mine next to them and covered it with the plastic trim pieces. Then I ran my RCA and CB antennae cables along the other side of my 4Runner to avoid whine.

Damn that's a lot of wires. Mind telling me what you have wired up ? I took your route and went ahead and ran my wires
Ran the 2 4 gauge wires and 5 12 gauge wires. Red 4g wire is positive for fuse box. And black 4 gauge is for a AMP later.
I don't know how. But everything fit through the original hole in firewall
Hopefully the plastic side pillars fit. Because there's a lot of wires.

Just curious as to why you're going to install this inside your vehicle and not in the engine bay. Is this a bussed version? Are you running a chassis/frame ground or running a wire from the negative side of your battery? The reason I ask is I'm in the planning stages and I plan on keeping the relays and the bussbars with an 80amp breaker inside the engine bay. I only feel safe running the switch assemblies inside the cabin.

My aux fuse relay box is waterproof. But it's HUGE. It's 10 relays ! It's not fitting in the engine bay unless you move stuff around. I can only see it fitting in the passenger side. And on top of mounting it in the engine bay you need to run all the wires somehow and somewhere.
So placing it in in back seat was the easiest and more convenient. I'm running my GROUND to frame. Closer the better. No reason to run it to battery. My breaker is 100amp and t will be less then a foot from battery. Everything I ran is safe and properly sealed. Makes no difference weather it's inside or in the engine bay. I have wires for switches to trigger the relays and wires to send power to the relays all from the box. Which is why this box is wires the way it is.

Your setup looks great. As for what I'm running I have 4 4ga wires 2 for my inverter and 2 for my amp a bunch of smaller wires for my rear cargo light and my led bar on the back of my roof rack. Also I have 6 switches wired to lights and things around the runner and all of those wires are running through there as well.

Thanks. And wow that's a lot of wires !!! I tried installing the plastic side pillars. Where I can 5 12g wires and 2 4g wires. And the pillars wouldn't sit at all. I had to remove 1 4g wire and run it through center. And had to trim the plastic pillars.
But they all fit through the grommet !

Ha whatever works. As long as they are away from your audio and antennae cables you should be good. Post some pics of your fuse box mount. This is exactly what I wanted to do once I order mine.

I ran lots of wires through the stock grommet as well as two 1/4" tubes from my rear airbags and compressor. I had it leaking and all my carpet was wet every time it rained. I took some RTV silicone, smothered it all over the grommet and between the wires. Just a heads up if yours starts leaking.
Ouch. I hope mine doesn't leak. But I'll probably end up putting something to seal it. Was thinking about the stuff that electrician use to seal wires. It's like a rubber poxy.

If you are going to use your frame as a ground I would upgrade your ground from the battery to include one to the frame. In stock form the battery ground goes from the battery to the engine and body, NOT the frame. I feel that there is some crossover somewhere but to be sure run a ground to your frame from your battery
Sorry I'm running the ground to the BODY to the part where the OEM jack mounts. Perfect spot.
