Running wires from exterior to interior of vehicle

i'm behind the times, i know, but i'd like to add a front camera. i've already attached it inbetween the grill, slightly to the driver's side of the license plate.

i've run into a problem running the wires from the engine compartment to the interior of the vehicle. i found a huge five inch diameter rubber grommet which runs the wires to the cables to the right of the kick panel. problem is, the thing is so though to move, i cannot get the grommet off to snake the wiring through.

does anyone know of any other points to use besides the grommet?

Slice the grommet with a knife, put wire through new hole.

Alternatively, drill new hole right next to exisitng grommet with a small bit, enlarge, then use step hole saw to make it to size. Get a 1/8" sheetmetal grommet an insert in new hole.

Can you get to the big grommet from inside the vehicle? on some vehicles you can't.
If you can. then poke a new hole in the big grommet.
