Rust Spot

Last week while washing my wifes 4Runner I notices a small smot on the hatch just below the bottom right corner of the window. At first I thought it was tress sap or something but no. It is a rust spot. Even worse is that it is from the inside coming out. I took it in to the local Toyota dealership and they looked at it said they had to call it in to Toyota and that they would call me on Monday.

Anyone else have problems like this? I am worried about what will happen down the road in a few years if it is already rusting at one year. What would you guys recommend?

Sorry I was out of town this weekend. I will try and get a shot tomorrow before I take it in to the dealership. The spot is tiny and may be hard to show with a photo. It is about the size of half a pencil eraser, maybe less.
