rusty brush guards?

Hey everyone,
I purchased a black brush guard from Manik about 4 years ago. Soon after it started bubbling and
has become rusty.
Since I took off the Manik sticker, it couldnt be returned!

I was wondering if anyone has tried my idea.
Im thinking about sanding it down and rhino-line it!
I think it would look bad ass!
thoughts?

That will look good, certainly better than rust too!
