Sagging problems

I have a 00 4Runner with 100k miles. The rear end sags quite a bit now. I can post pictures later. I thought this wasnt a problem with the 2000's. Im always carrying heavy loads long distances, so I'm sure thats not helping.

I put Bilsteins on one year ago. Whats good solution here? Replace with stock springs or upgrade to something else like the PP Springs. I dont want too big of lift, just something to make it level and not sag when I have heavy loads. Where is a good place to PP springs?

99's were the tallest riding 3rd gens.You would probably gain 1" to 1.5" on a non-sagging stock 2000.
 
Not all '99s had the taller coils and even fewer '00s had 'em as they were discontinued halfway though the '00 model year.

Did you replace the your original coils with the taller ones? From your pic your's sits pretty low for coils with only 20k on 'em. Look at my avatar pic and you can see the gap in my fender wells vs the pic of yours.

What's your measurement from the center of your hub to the lip of the flare?
I think mine is 22" but I'll have to remeasure.
 
I have stock coils with Bilsteins. In my avator that was taken on a road trip in Utah. The car was fully loaded so it was weighted. I will take current pictures today.

Could I ask for a measurement from the hub to something other than the flare? I don't have that on my SR5. Thanks.

PP coils

I had my PP 1' coils put on today. I also had my right rear axle seal replaced at the same as that was leaking.

The lift came higher than I expected, especially in the front! I have not driven it much but it seems to handle similiar, maybe a little more body roll.

I will get some better pictures in better lighting soon. Thanks for the advice everyone as I'm very happy. Maybe in the future I will get some more aggressive tires.
 
My old girl saggs in the rear like my EX old girl! I was wondering what to do to remedy the problem, But thanks to you guys i have an answer...

On Performance Products they have it set as a set of 4 springs for $299. It seems they have changed their website around and now I cant find the springs!
 
HAHAHA good one.. they always follow me around anyhow! i dont know if a 1" spring lift will be a deterrent but i can alwats try!
 
Air bags

As other have mentioned if your truck sags all the time you need new springs.

But if it only sags under heavy loads you might consider air bags. I installed air bags on my 97' for trailer towing and I have been super pleased. I can add air when I'm towing or hauling. and let it out when I'm not towing for a better ride. An added bonus of the air bag installation is that you cut out the stock bump stops. When I used to haul heavy loads I'd often hit the stock bump stops. Since you take out the stock stops when you install the airbags the ride under load is greatly improved!!

The bags are cheap too! (Unless you add the onboard compressor which allows you to adjust ride hide from the dash board).

I had bags in my old ford bronco 2 they did work well.... But i think i'll just get new springs and be done with it....

All,
To fix my sagging.. the local 4x4 shop told me of daystar spacers. I was a little scared at first but they were instock and was assured that they would work.I love them!! I'll see if i can post some pictures here and show you... i'll try to do a before and after.

from what i have heard daystars make the sagging worse due to the extra pressure you add on the coils.


just curious but can you use stock shocks on PP springs
